joekonz 0 Posted April 9, 2007 You're right, it's tough to be original, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't keep trying to present the beauty of these florals, right? I tend to want to give a lot of slack when it comes to people searching for creativity, but I don't think you need any slack with this one, Julius. If you were concerned about the white background (which could very well be another layer of petal; I can't be sure), I don't think it's a distraction. I think the swirling, colorful (and very sharp!) center demands one's focus, so the subject is clear. And the lavender border on the outer petals serve as a nice buffer to the background. The yellow tint is an interesting accent. Link to comment
