THIS WAS ONE OF MY FIRST FILTERED DIGITAL FAVORITES, STILL IS.

SIMPLY SOME BURLAP CAUGHT ON BARBED WIRE IN THE WINTER. I LIKED THE

TEXTURE AND THE IMAGE. NOT SURE WHY BUT I FOUND IT COMPELLING

This is a fantastic image! It's just amazing the detail and the light and the texture and....well, my gosh...Who ARE these other raters, idiots? ... who gets a tip o' the Hatlo hat for the trail of breadcrumbs. Y'know, from the thumbnail, I thought this was perhaps a Klein bottle, or some other topological curiosity. Not sure I was wrong, either. This is really quite a haiku of a photograph; compelling indeed.

and I certainly see the resemblance! I love the softness of this image, of course, contrasted with the barbed wire - and the monochrome nature of the palette. Richard, you done good work, man!

I must be a little out of the box today though, I thought she was a sloth caught in a barbed fence at first glance, whew! It's only burlap! Great exposure to keep your subject's dispair important btw. I'm with y'all here, I like it!

 

(Don, a tube molded by it's ends is defined as a square, that was cool!)

This should be hanging in a gallery somewhere, your composition is very well seen and this artwork shows what life offers in simple beauty and free. The tones are breathtaking...my fave. Have a good night.
