steve_lowther 0 Posted April 13, 2006 It has some really great diagonals and curves. I wondered what would happen if we strengthened both by deepening some of the tones and then dodging out a few of the highlights in those areas. I like the result, but then it just may be a matter of imposing my taste here. What do you think? Thanks for your comments on my site. I can empathize with your feeling of being isolated in east Texas. (Funny, my brother is in east Texas now on a job site drilling for oil.) You know it is amazing how much you can learn Photoshop from going thru Photoshop help and from free tutorials on the web. Just search on "tutorial photoshop" and that and help will be enough to keep you busy for a long time. I also would learn a few valuable shortcuts like to grab, to zoom, and right clicking when using any brush to adjust its size and hardness. I also find feathering the edges of a selection very useful. Using the clone tool is an absolute must. Then learn all you can about layers including layer opacity and fill layers. Good luck! Drop me a line from time to time, especially if you want me so see something. Link to comment
fabiangraham 0 Posted April 27, 2006 I think it's excellent....for what it's worth, my second favorite in all your folders. If I could rate it , it would be a 6 and 7 / 7. Just curious what it is. My best guess is a piece of petrified or fossilized wood or maybe an agate in matrix. Am I close? Fabian Link to comment
