Hi Sam, i like this "insect on white" style (spiders are not insects, okay) but 2 things bother me here : sharpness is a bit weak, and rear legs are very close to the edge (actually they look cut-off). Otherwise spider's position is good.

Jay, this critter-on-white 'style' is just a random happening as I had to use flash in the rather badly lit place where this spider was sitting on a white, plastic wall. With a bit of digital fiddling I could make the spider's features visible on the monitor. Sharpness may have suffered in the entire process. Still, I tend to like this one as a nice addition to my spider collection. Spiders often cannot be photographed under studio or laboratory conditions ;-) Thanks very much for your critique.
