steve_lowther 0 Posted April 6, 2006 Maybe an alternative title could be "The Calm Before the Storm"... or not. :) Do you think perhaps the impact could be "punched up" a bit by putting more of an emphasis on key? In my "quick and dirty" examples, I made it a high key image by selecting the darker tones of the background, lowering the contrast "way" down and adding a little brightness. I then selected the whole image and added just a touch more contrast overall. I did some additional dodging of the background highlights by adding random "dodge circles" to mimic the optical circles of confusion already there and round out the range of tones. I think this way the background is less distracting and we add emphasis to the little one. What do you think? (If you don't find this critique useful, let me know and I will be happy to delete it.) juan-de-santa-anna 0 Posted September 22, 2006 This reminds me so much of my first sip of coffe in the morn....You caught a nugget of a moment...the soft lighting works for me as well in the high key Steve mentioned either way you caught it! Juan Link to comment
