Grain cars and elevators, once so common on the prairie landscape, are

quickly being torn down, replaced by huge concrete structures run by

large corporations. Seeing one of the old grain elevators still in

tact brings with it a sense of nostalgia about how things were and how

times have changed.

The grain, the tonal values of the sky, and the point of view lend this image a great deal of feeling. The distance of the nearest car is just right to really set of the depth and to lead the viewer?s eye right into the image. Superb work here, really. It is important to record the past and you are doing a hell of a job with it. Thanks for sharing this one.

to really appreciate this one. I like the "tooth" that the film grain imparts to it. Regards.

A really excellent photograph. All you photos display a great sense of harmony and order, along with a timeless quality I find particularly attractive.
