davidorea 1 Posted August 20, 2005 Quite interesting shot, Hugh. The viewpoint and the wide-angle lens couldn't be better for this kind of photograph. Link to comment
petervannugteren 4 Posted August 20, 2005 This capture has a strong, intriging mood. Is the lady depressed? Where does she go? What is in the bags? Is the light more brighter future? .. Beautiful work! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 18, 2006 Hugh, great find. really like the perspective and angle of how the roadway leads into the frame. Link to comment

jeremy freeland 0 Posted April 19, 2006 Like it. Plenty of dynamism with the woman leaning to the left and her right foot behind her. Her left lean seems to match the angle of the paving stones in the street. I like how these and the bottom of the walls create the sensation of two Vs facing each other on a vertical axis. The wide angle makes the woman a little dwarfed by her surroundings. I also like how the left hand wall seems so much more modern than the street surface and right hand wall - with the grafitti, it does away with any notion of charming that the older surroundings might suggest, and makes the image very contemporary.
