Water Hydrant

I have no idea why this Fire hydrant sits in the middle of this creek.

But there it is! I hope you enjoy!

This is actually in the middle of bull creek near 360 in Austin Texas... Its actually a nice little green belt with lots of places to swim and hang out.

It is definatally connected to old pipes. But I have no idea if they are still pressurised. The water in the creek can actually get pretty high after a rain, so this thing would surely get swept away if it werent solidly married to the ground.

Good composition and again, simple color scheme and nicely saturated. While the image generates a lot of curiosity and amusement, it does reflect the skill of the one pressing the shutter button.
