Blue Vase 4

Interesting composition with the vase slightly off center and the corner of the window frame behind it. I am not sure what the black shadows on the vase might be, but I find them to be a bit of a distraction. I would like more clarity in the white flower in the vase. Perhaps a reflector would put more light on the white. I would like less light in the top left corner. Perhaps shooting from a slightly higher angle woud reduce the amount of white space there and give you more green for the background to the white flower. The color and arrangement of the cloth are fighting with the main subject (vase) for attention. Perhaps a more pastel color for the cloth might work better.

Whats up Ransford? Hadn't heared from you in a while. I like the juxtaposition of the vase with the flower and colourful cloth on the table but the window is dirty and detracts from the composition; actually, I would have washed at least that portion of the window that shows in the composition (assuming it could be reached). Then with a clean window, the green plants outside and ambient lighting would likely enhance the setting. Regards . . . and good luck with the above critique.
