Snowy Egret, 2005

Saw him yesterday, but somebody had the dogs swimming in the creek,

Today, no dogs, and I had two or three good shots.

Last time I checked, Snowy Egrets had yellow feet and black bills. This appears to be a Great American White Egret (or Great Egret). I'd do some cropping of the to get rid of the top of the frame.

Yup. You're right. I don't usually misidentify birds, but I blew this one.

very good shot! In my opninion cropping is ok, to get the bird a bit more to the foreground. But I like the line with houses at the top, it gives an alternation in the image.

What a great shot and what a beautiful bird. I echo what others have said here about cropping. It would bring the wonderful bird much more into the picture. However a fantastic catch!

I'm dealing with Egrets right now Les... so I'm attached to them, and t o that beautiful one, especially its nice neck...good BG. as well(croping the upper part was said) A real beauty. Pnina

A BEAUTIFUL CAPTURE OF WHATEVER KIND OF EGRET IT IS. What a contrast between it's glowing white and the darker tones of the background. Really nice image and thank you for your kind comments on a couple of my pieces. Regards rek.

Very nice colors in this image. The crop really helps to put the Egret as the focus of the frame.
