james_mogul 0 Posted November 13, 2001 is it too bulls-eye, or do you think the symetry works here? Shot on Gwen's birthday during a walk through the halls of the Camlin hotel. Link to comment
matt_kime 0 Posted November 13, 2001 I think the image is composed just fine but I want to see the faces of the people in the image. Seeing faces would make the image a lot more confrontational. Link to comment
amypowers 0 Posted November 20, 2001 James, you're a wild man. I love your daring. I think a little blur is good because it makes us look at the image as a whole and not just at a naked woman on a leash. That being said, I would like, maybe, a little more sharpness. There is a distorted look to Gwen's head that I cannot figure out - some kind of light refraction? But I think the comp is great, not too bulls eye at all. Link to comment
kelly_perl 0 Posted March 4, 2002 James--The "symmetry" is fine. You avoid a static image because YOU are off to the side in the shot and the difference in clothing in the two women. Blurriness doesn't work so well, though if you kept it in the faces I think it would work. Link to comment
glenn_polin 0 Posted July 6, 2002 The anonymity of the blurred faces and the featureless hallway says something that a sharply focused print would not. Bravo. Link to comment
artistic_nudes 0 Posted March 3, 2003 what a story this shot has to tell. it appears that the model has her hands tied behind her back, that she is wearing a collar, and being led by a leash. it's a little hard to make out. do you have a clearer copy with more detail? Link to comment
james_mogul 0 Posted March 11, 2003 > do you have a clearer copy with more detail? Would that not spoil the mystery of the image? suffice it to say your assumptions are correct, and they are (were) not models but lovers. Link to comment
r 0 Posted November 10, 2004 I find myself wondering what kind of responce you'd get from people who happen by in the passage. This is quite a sight. And James, "bulls eye" is good, its very "I'm in the middle of the passage... Do I want to be here?". Link to comment
