my_pics 0 Posted August 12, 2005 Sometimes you see some really great profile shots. And sometimes you even see some overwhelmingly dark portraits with minimal highlights. You have maxed the best of both. I also like the yellow to brown tones of the subject and the darker, bluish-gray building in the background. I'm fond of blue and brown together anyway. The Rule of Thirds is "el perfecto." The parallel lines of the arm and neck are interesting. Then as the hand moves out to the left from the highlighted arm, so does the chin from the neck -- good complimentary, compositional assets. IMO, this is not a good picture. my_pics 0 Posted August 12, 2005 Just to see what's there, I lobbed this pic over into PS and kicked the brightness/contrast up 50/25. I saw there an image to be quite proud of. :-) But your choice to present it dark with little more than the highlighted curves is par excellence. --Regards Link to comment
