Striking at first look!... and continues.

The skin texture did come out nicely. I like the the gaze and light in the eyes and the shock of hair on the forehead. I'm not sure the bright blue patch at the bottom right contributes much. It seems to distract from the subject. I would experiment with darkening or recoloring it, or even eliminating it and fading that corner to black.
