pat_thielen 0 Posted August 8, 2005 I'm interested in peoples' opinions on this photo; all constructive critiques are welcome and appreciated. If you feel the need to give it a 1/1 or some other low score that's fine; I'd just appreciate knowing what you find that needs improvement. Also, I apologize for posting this twice; I had posted it yesterday with "Submit for critique only" checked by accident and I actually want to see the numbers. If there's a way to change that after a photo has been posted let me know! Thanks, -Pat- Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted August 8, 2005 Pat, if anything the rock at lower left may be a little overbearing. As for the rest I like it. I like the pose, exposure and color Link to comment

twmeyer 0 Posted August 29, 2007 I have a hard time imagining a narrative for this image that is plausible. While it's technically excellent and each element is fine on it's own, I can't make up a reason for her being where she is, as she is. And her tan lines just make the scenario even less plausible (she obviously is a modern woman who is normally clothed in contemporary style). The setting isn't particularly evocative of any specific scenario, either. It could be a dwelling for a more primitive human archetype, or an emergency shelter for a stranded visitor or a den for a wild creature. But I don't get why she's lounging here in this semi blissed out state. Just coming down from a X trip while camping? Maybe it's a failure of imagination on my part... t (nice light that day, though, and I understand the compelling forces that were working on you at the moment. But I don't think it holds together.)
