Kaneohe night

I've been taking pictures for 2 years now, and have found that lack

of input from friends or family, has limited my ability to move

forward in photography. Any comments on this picture or any others in

my folder would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I should think you are very pleased with this image. An unusual and satisfying pea green all over and a well placed horizon too. No complaints about this one. Well done.

Useful criticism? I don't have a lot. It is just really a nice picture. I do notice a couple of white spots in the upper right quadrant. I assume those are dust spots, which do draw my attention a bit.

 

If you do not have access to Photoshop, you may just check your medium (film, whatever) for dust. I suggest this is a print, you may want to make large and frame it for your home.

This is a great landscape pic. However, you color could be MUCH better. The image seems to have a green cast across the entire image. If you play with color correction in photoshop, you'll be able to bring out a much more complex image. Most likely, the sky is actually some kind of dark blue. You really owe it to yourself to figure this out, it will make a world of change.

 

 

I love the green cast to the picture it sets it apart from more common night shots.

Well thank you all so much for the comment. About the white spots, their actually stars, this is much more apparent in the original slide. For the comment about the green cast, I believe this is a property of the city lights being reflected by the clouds, something about different light temperatures if I remember correctly.

Maybe try to open the apruture to decrease the shutter speed. I found out last week that stars will start to trail at 30 seconds. This may make the stars in the upper right of the photo dots of light instead of small lines.

i say keep the green i think it duse make this photo more differint than others like it it looks like you scanner need help but i can not nock some one for a bad scanner that is why i like this evin with this the photo still comes throw if it can do that well i think it is cool
