harnstrom1 0 Posted August 9, 2005 "Fatal Atraction" again. I guess a therapist could use this picture in his work. There is a tension between the beauty and the Bad one here. Nice work. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 12, 2005 I'm no abstract photographer but this sure looks good to me. It looks like it's sucking the life out of her.Cheers. Link to comment

janet_. 0 Posted August 12, 2005 I'm totally shocked!!! I hate spiders but my goodness what an excellent, expressive photograph!!! 7/7 Link to comment
sharon jackson 0 Posted August 12, 2005 Dont know how you got her to do this shot but excellent effect from both of your models! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 13, 2005 I've been looking at this image for days now but wasn't sure what to think of it. Putting Joe and Janet's comments together, it gives me a direction for thoughts. The red lips, pale face and the colorful mate or company... Cyrus, does this suggest the wrong kind of relationship we find ourselves into and get consumed by?? This is beyond words, just astonishing! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 13, 2005 Thanks everyone for the comments, they are kind and encouraging. I didn't intend to explain this image and leave it to everyone else's interpretations. Thank you Janet, the image is very meaningful to me as well and thank you Jan, Joe and David, your interpretations are very delightful to read indeed. There are one or two more elements in this image which are intended to carry some sort of a meaning. Best wishes to all. Link to comment
harnstrom1 0 Posted August 13, 2005 The sting looks very scaring and one leg is moving. Maybe it is training and therapy, phobia about spiders. Challenge the horror, take control and be rid of it... Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 13, 2005 Jan, your take is interesting but if it was a phobia therapy, one would expect some sort of an anquish and discomfort in her face but she seems to be sorta like sedated, spiritless and not full of life, except for the lips!! The spider, you are right, is moving all over her and piercing through her skin, good observation there! Link to comment
matt_shahi 0 Posted August 13, 2005 THIS PIC IS CREEPY AND ITS GOOD FOR HALLOWEEN . REMINDS ME OF VAMPIRES , WEBS , HAUNTED HOUSES . NICE HAIRY LEGS ON THOSE LIPS . EXCELLENT JOB ! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 14, 2005 Thank you Marc. Coming from you, with all your creative work, it means a lot. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 15, 2005 My goodness is right! I was shocked when I first saw this picture a few days ago, I couldn't believe my eyes, it looks so real and unreal! Link to comment
charrisi 0 Posted August 18, 2005 You have a talent, keeping people intrigued is one of many. You have done an amazing job here on the woman's skin tone, with light or desaturation. Whatever the technique, it works well. Her skin is flawless. I envy this kind of ablility. Even her lips, look naturally red. Not smeared with makeup. She has a detached look which leads me to believe she is completely comfortable with photographer and icky spiders. Or complete trust in photographer whilst frozen under spider spell. Or.... Great work dear Cyrus. Link to comment
harnstrom1 0 Posted August 20, 2005 Hm... "There are one or two more elements ..."You're not intending to explain further, that's alright. I'll have to wait, maybe someone will come up with a nice idea. Link to comment
sallycd 0 Posted August 20, 2005 Cyrus, are you portraying she is the "Green Spider Woman?" No! Poor spider,it loses 3 of it's legs. This is really good. And I hope the spider is harmless. And she was not stung by it and I hope her eyes were not a look of a spider stung. Link to comment

cdaunis 0 Posted September 3, 2005 This is a remarkable image, not just for the fact your model accepted this spider in a most delicate place, but for the incredible composition, unusual angle, and expressive model. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted September 11, 2005 I had a slightly different idea in mind but I guess this is the beauty of an abstract, everyone can have their own take. Thank you. Link to comment
