Colonial House in Granada, Nicaragua. Granada is the oldest city founded by Europeans (Spaniards in 1524) on the American continent (excluding islands) that remains on the same place.

This photo is from my recent trip to Nicaragua. Note the unusual

banana trees on the central garden of this house (normally banana

trees are planted either on the backyards or in farms, but not the

central garden of a house). The owner of the house is sitting at the

end of the hall on the left side.
