Stock-Photos 1 Posted November 12, 2001 Looks like a 100 year old image and the figure on the porch is haunting. All the shots in your folder are outstanding. Link to comment
storm.light 0 Posted November 13, 2001 Peter I really admire your work. At first I thought that you should really specialize in your approach to light and dark such as "Paul" and "Mahogany and Strings" but then I pulled this up and realized what a diverse talent you have. The coloration matches perfectly with the theme, and the balance is so there. Your eye can go forever, with the figure, out into the distance. Hanging on a wall, one would never tire of looking at it. -=D=- Link to comment
blago 0 Posted November 13, 2001 I am impressed first of all by the quality of your photo, Peter. Of course, colours and composition are perfect. The format you selected is also helping thepicture. If you crop some of the left part of the photo another nice but somewhat more common scene appear. Blago Link to comment

melissa_schneider1 0 Posted November 14, 2001 what kind of film do you use..do you do your own printing or do you get it developed somewhere? are any of your pictures for sale? Link to comment
dustinhenry 0 Posted November 15, 2001 No film, as far I know. From his technical details, it shows he's got a Digital camera. But whether it's digital or it's film, I like it! I shoot with both formats on a regular basis. I just certainly hope you take a high resolution copy of that image and have it printed properly at a pro shop that supports digital images. Guest Guest Posted November 18, 2001 I love the image. I do prefer a more brown tone, but that's my own preference. Link to comment

tfic 0 Posted December 11, 2001 You asked to let you know how this photo makes us feel. For some reason it brings out a rather nostalgic response in me. I feel that I'm familiar with the place. Very nice. Link to comment
carl_chick 0 Posted December 24, 2001 The only thing about this photo that would make me feel more nostalgic - snow on the ground. Link to comment
marc1 0 Posted December 25, 2001 when you look at this shot you seem to want more, the more you look the more you see, great photograph, would love to know what media you used, as I'm not that well a professional as you, and would love to learn more. great shot Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 30, 2001 Peter, This is a very nice treatment of a beautiful subject. The mood you have created makes the picture. Would just a tad more contrast ruin the mood? In any case, I love the this image. Link to comment
mgvaughan.com 0 Posted January 2, 2002 I like the shot. I agree it has a nostalgic feel to it. Care to comment on how you get the tones from a digital camera? Formulations? Link to comment
elaine_roberts1 0 Posted January 4, 2002 Looks like an old watercolor painting, well-planned and balanced. Your photos have a "stillness" to them which is rarely attempted and even more rarely done successfully. Link to comment
cedarbough 0 Posted March 5, 2002 This folder rocks. This photo rocks. I am glad i visited your shots today, I needed the "pick me up". Link to comment
beryl_c 0 Posted May 12, 2002 The mist rising in the fields beyond the cabin, casts a spell over what else there might be out there in the distance. Is the lady on the porch wondering if it is going to rain, and she will have to wait for another day to wash her homespuns? Wonderful picture, nice composition, heavy to the right.
