Waiting for You.

WJT

Metered with a Gossen Luna Pro SBC at ISO 4, the exposure was 2 seconds at f16. I focused on the midground and gave it the appropriate infrared nudge. Gitzo 1325/Acratech ball head. The film used was the Aura version of the 820c, without the anti-halation backing. This is best viewed LARGER.

A very hot and sunny day. This was made using a Lee polyester

#87 filter. The film does not incorporate the usal anti-halation

backing. Thus, there is some internal reflection resulting in a slight

halo effect. I feel that the LARGER VIEW is best. Your comments,

suggestions, and ratings are invited. Thank you for visiting.

Very nice Walter. Never heard of that film. Gives a great effect. "Amityville Horror". To me, maybe just a tad more complete rocks at the bottom if you have it? Nice house choice on your part. See ya...

Stunning ir composition, this looks a bit haunting.

Bryan, Amytiville is right, for sure. I saw this place from the road one day and promised myself that I would return to photograph it. I am afraid there are no more rocks at the bottom, this is the full crop. And thank you also to Dan and Peter for the visits. Regards.

Exceptional. Flawless composition, remarkably effective use of IR. A dramatic and atmospheric image.

great perspective. house looks boarded up and the photo manipulation adds to the flavour.

Good way of spooking someone or making a poor subject very interesting - 6/5

It's waiting for you, Bryan! Care to venture inside?

Stuart, this house is indeed boarded up. It looks as though it has been deserted for some time. Regards to all.

Well done, your IR filter is paying dividends. The large view is very impressive I just love the sky. Where was this taken and what time of the day?

Thanks Jim. This was around the corner from me, about 3 or 4 in the afternooon. Full sun from over my right shoulder. It's a wicked house, ain't it.

And thank you, too, Rafik. Regards.

Very dramatic and spooky! Nice use of the perspective and sky and the IR effect (?) adds to the surreal atmosphere.

My girlfriend and I were leaving yesterday to get some lunch and do some shooting, but couldn't decide where. At the bottom of the driveway, she looked at me and said "Let's go find that house". I asked "What house"? I knew instantly what she meant...

Of those two shots, I like this one much more (maybe I don't like the fisheye perspective in the other one). And yes it is a bit spooky, but drawing in nevertheless... Jiri
