Flower pictures are fairly commonplace on photo.net but this is a rather unusual depiction. The highlights are blown but it appears deliberately so. All I know is it works for me and I like it.

Thanks, Larry, I often go to considerable effort not to lose the highlights on flowers but on this one I tried to show a light so strong that it either shines all the way through the petals or makes a white highlight.

You can count on it, Howard. The other day I decided I had photographed too many flowers; I should do something else. The next day I was out at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens - could not help myself. Then discovered a new way to use Photoshop. Life right now is just too good to me!

Do you mind sharing your discovery? I for one am always looking for new ways to use Photoshop and would be grateful for any tips you might choose to pass on.

Thanks. This is one of my older images. I blew it up big and stuck it on my wall. Then my ex-wife bought it for her office.
