colin carron 58,923 Posted August 3, 2005 Ok! Ok! It was the only snow we got this year and I was making the most of it. It snowed a little overnight and I rushed out (not 'rushed out' by your standards of 4am - a little more leisurely) to see if I could get some snow-covered countryside shots. Having visited a few places I eventually ended up here by which time the snow was well and truly going. It gives it a chilly feel if nothing else! :-) Our latitude here is 51 deg N whereas you are are around 38 deg N. But we are kept nice and warm in winter by your generously provided Gulf Stream straight from Florida. (So really our lack of snow is, like everything else, the fault of the US :-) Do you think we could sue?) regards - Colin Link to comment
ianflindt 0 Posted March 2, 2006 What a wonderful subject, beautifully captured. The tones and light are exquisite and enhance the derelict feel of the subject superbly. Whereabouts in Essex is this, Colin? Link to comment
colin carron 58,923 Posted March 2, 2006 Ian, thanks. It is a very small hamlet called Bustard Green near Thaxted. Link to comment
