Horseman on the Hungarian Plain

I like the suggestion of high speed! Cheers, Sam.

My first impression was rather favorable but with looking at it for some time there was something that bothers me. I think i've worked out what it is: the zoom-burst/motion blur effect sends the eye into the "dull" background and doesn't match the expected movement of the two horses on the extreme right. They seem to be moving towards the centre line of the frame, but the zoom has them going outwards.

 

In the end I can't make my mind up about it. For there's still something I like a lot about it (and I'm not a horse lover!).

I really like this photo, it's not just "another horse shot".........it's right out of one of my dreams, horses are powerful totems and this captured that essence.
