alaskan ivan 0 Posted December 7, 2006 it screams fake and does not look real to me. its seems like a black piece of paper laid on top of a fuzzy piece of paper. this evokes a feeling of digital manipulation, but i am a traditionalist and feel that anything photoshoped or any other digital manipulation is not photography. my two cents. ivan. john_latimer1 0 Posted December 7, 2006 I am sorry, but this is not the best that digital has to offer. I am not a traditionalist that opposes photoshop, quite a bit on the other end actually. Unfortunetly this is crudely done, its a nice idea but needs to be refined. Emrah your vision here is very nice so don't take this all negative but the use of the clouds filter (or similar) on top is obvious and the mask for the contact of the boat to the water is as well. your reflections are the best part. However the image does not read well due to the technical limitations. I am surprised that others are not as keen to this. Link to comment

david_halterman 0 Posted December 8, 2006 Too much...its like eating 8 oz. of cereal out of a pool of milk; good idea...but way too much. This doesn't evoke any feelings in me. But what do I know...I am new here. Link to comment
dd_toth 0 Posted February 11, 2008 This pic caught my eye in the search gallery today. The idea of the picture is very appealing, but once you go to view it larger it doesn't work. The reason why this one doesn't work compared to your other ones is that the silhouette only contains hard edges. As well it is all black. You need to have some grays in there to give you some suggestion of form. As well the reflection of the boat edge, it is quite straight and appears hard-edged compared to the looseness of the mens reflections. There needs to be more of a transition there to make it more believable, as well as, somewhat mirroring the actual shape of the boat. If you ever want to work on this one again those would be the key points to focus on. Link to comment
