pnital 36 Posted July 25, 2005 Dave, you are the best PR for Alaska! it is so very beautiful. The sky echoing the fg.and the quiet water as a contrast. Pnina Link to comment
leighperry 0 Posted July 27, 2005 This is an effective use of the 2:3 format Dave (I'm a bit out of practice at seeing those proportions :-)). The colour transitions through the water are beautiful. I feel the clouds have been darkened way too much by the grad filter though. Did you only use 2 stops? That looks like about 5 stops of grad, at least it would be in the Australian lighting conditions I am most familiar with. I'm sure with a bit of brightening the top half could be made more harmonious with the rest of the frame. Cheers, Leigh. Link to comment

poutnik 1 Posted July 27, 2005 yeah, the transition of colors and the orange accent are the most interesting here... Jiri Link to comment
fjord-images 0 Posted July 30, 2005 Would have been at least 7/6 if the sky had been brighter and more balanced with the foreground. Link to comment
