I like the tones, the mood.. and the perspective.. the only thing I'm quite uncertain of is how the kid is located on the picture..hmm, a bit off balance, but I suppose you had no opportunity to ask him.

Posted this about a week ago. I got plenty of views but only a few

reviews. Looking to improve on my photography and would appreciate a

few more reviews or any comments. Thanks

The concept of the shot is very good, and the image quality is good; but as a street shot, you're too far away. The subject only fills a very small part of the frame.

I agree with the preceeding comments. May be next time (will be?) you should aproach more to the wall and to the subject -3 o 4 meters. Or in case that's not possible, you can use a long lens -from that distance, a 105 mm may be enough...

On the other size, the light and the subject itself seems right.

And don't discourage: there are many people around here -only 1% of the viewers, rate. As time goes by, your shot will be rated. But that's more likely if you rate and comment other's shots. ;-)

Isolated, lonely - lovely. A really great shot - you don't need to take street shots up close - this works brilliantly - I'm projecting all kinds of possible stories on to this kid - precisely because of the space you've left my mind to wander.

I'd probably crop the left a bit as there is a slight balance issue and the white poster/leaflet attached to the post steals my eye a little, but that's easily managed.

Great shot, but I'd try to crop the picture so that the boy sits on the first 3rd from the left of the picture and also crop something from top & bottom as well.

Normally, with an image like this I would say get tighter! But, I think this photo works nice because the rail is a nice leading line. I also like the title of the photo. Good job.

what a great shot. I love this kind of photojournalism. A bit of advice on what I consider a very good folder. Every shot you have here is shot standing up - point and shoot. i tend to have this problem with my images also. You obviously have an eye for photojournalism, I'd love to see some of your shots from low, high "different" angles. Great title here also.
