martinforget 0 Posted October 28, 2005 I would Have like to see the back of the spider more clearly. Try just a little bit more of depth of field next time and focus on the closest part of the insect (if it's an intersting part of the picture of course). I realy like the composition of the photo and the light in the legs were the focus has been made. Overall i like it alot. 6/7 Link to comment
kenny_skid 0 Posted November 2, 2005 Very Nice. I have a D70 and would like to know if you used a flash and/or a tripod. I think the light is very good on this spider Link to comment
amir49 0 Posted January 24, 2010 nice composition and background bukeh . the only thing is that the eyes of spider in not completly in focus . shooting with this range macro lens needs useing more closed diaphragm and tripod to get better focus and DOF in insect macros.i have an sigma 150mm macro too . by the way how much is your least focus distanse to get 1:1 macro with this sigma 180mm ??? in mine is about 20cm . johannes_eriksson 0 Posted April 4, 2010 Hi, sorry for noticing your comment late. Agree about eyes, though I wanted to focus on the silk thread in this shot. Could not have both due to DOF. To answer your question, the 180 gives about 45 cm distance from sensor to subject. Link to comment
