Voi lo capite?

The man with his back to the camera had stopped to ask some information to these policemen. The result was a good image. Shot wit a Canon AT-1 with a Vivitar lens 100 mm

The man with the back to the camera had stopped to ask information

of these italian policemen in Piazza San Pietro. I think the image

is self illustrating.

Thanks for your visit and I hope that you take a moment to comment

or critique even more than the ratings. It is the only way that I

can improve and learn.

Thanks

Marco

Nice scene, all that I miss of it is the other side of the story, the guy who is waiting in front of them. He is blurry and I miss his face.

It draws me in, has an action feel

to it, and reminds me of a the Pink Panther

movies. You really caught the feel of the

two police on the right concentrating.

It may be trying to say too much. The man on

the left is a little distracting (even though

his look is entertaining), cropping him out I

think improves the picture.

Thanks Tom for your comments. I never thought about cropping the man on the left because I thought his expression wa so part of the picture, but I will try and see.

Thanks again

Marco

thank you for your opinion

for example, the photo of the policeman can bee very good because you have a good composition and the image have a message...the policeman is expresiv but you have to concentrate the attencion at the point of interes...and you can do this whith colors, light or dark...i dont't know how explain you because my english it's not so good...

succes!!!

I like this one. It reminds me myself exactly in the situation of the bearded guy, lost in Fiumiccine airport (it was not the right airport!), surrounded by incredibly helpful policemen. It's for this kindness and humour that I love Italy.

Technically, the policeman on the left is not as good as the two others who are exellent. I think that cropping would waste the picture. Some burning of his face (and maybe of the bearded man's neck) would probably improve a bit.

Philippe, thanks very much for your comments, and I agree that the burning in of the face on the left might work. I also agree that the crop of his face would eliminate the humor that he provides.

Thanks for your comments. I really appreciate them.

Marco, great capture. The faces are wonderful. I like the composition the way it is. Too bad you can't return and get it a little sharper. It's funny how people tend to concentrate so deeply when someone asks for directions. Thanks. GB

Thanks David. I am glad you like it. If you would have seen them when I took it.Keystone cops. After all that, they sent the poor guy all around St Peter, and what he was looking for was right behind them.

It was funny.

Thanks.

Spectacular! I don't know how I haven't seen this one before. Marco, my friend, you might be spending your time well as a banker, but you, sir, are a photographer.

Marco, you have caught a topic moment in the job of a Policeman, can you remember when this picture has been taken? Or at least the year? Thank you, nice portfolio too.

Ciao. Marco

I was perusing your latest posts and this one was on the right in the "More Photos" area of your page. It made me look over my monitor and to the photo on the wall.
