andrey1 0 Posted July 25, 2005 Marc, this picture is adorable for the innocent moment and the wonderful composition made with the lines of her hair, hand and the curve she is drawing. However, I would be a more happy with a bit of digital darkroom work, because her face and skin seem too dark and the sky above her is so very white. In my version I used the 'Curves' tool and drew a curve that increased highlights separation (to bring up detail in the ocean water) and brightened up her skin tones. I also burned the sky just a bit and dodged her face. This intrusion, unfortunately, killed the texture in your sand, but I prefer to see more natural skin tones and to avoid blown out skies. Maybe there is a better way around this than the one I've found. Regards, Andrey. Link to comment

alejandrokeller 0 Posted October 19, 2005 Beautiful image, it became immediatelly one of my favourites in PN. The moment, the texture, the light, everything is perfect. Please don't change it no matter what anybody says... the dark tones on her face are just perfect: there is not a single bit of detail missing (IMO a flatter light would not do). Congratulations, Alejandro Link to comment
