mcfabel90 0 Posted November 8, 2001 What do you you think, what does it lack. What draws your eye. Thanks! Link to comment
patrick_michel_dagenais 0 Posted November 8, 2001 Just a bit overexposed on the right side of the face. Usually I find overexposure to be a nice artistic effect but in this case I'm not sure if I like it. I like the rest though, the whole picture has a nice look and feel. A good portrait! stacey_waselovich 0 Posted November 8, 2001 I don't think it lacks anything. It has an artistic feel to it. Good pose, good expression. I'm a little distracted by the right side of the face too - I think it's the shadow on the wall that's distracting to me. Good job though. I like it. Link to comment
stacey_waselovich 0 Posted November 8, 2001 Now that I look at it I'm sure it's the shadown on the wall and under your chin that's bugging me. Without it this would be a great Abercrombie and Fitch ad! Link to comment
warren_tom 0 Posted November 8, 2001 good tonal range. A little burning on the right side of the face would cancel out the brightness, but that really is a personal thing. frankly i don't think is draws attention. Link to comment
gk photography 0 Posted November 9, 2001 The first thing I noticed was the overexposure on the face. The second was the logo. I have a personal distaste of them, but that has nothing to do with your photo, I suppose. The slumped pose and confrontational expression is not pretty, but then I assume it is not meant to be. If confrontation is what you are going for, I would crop in tighter on the face. If you had other intentions, of course, it's not for me to judge. As it is, I'd say, not bad; you've exposed for the shadows very nicely, and done a good job bouncing light from the wall. Cut the photo in half just beneath the chin, and you'd have a nice headshot. A catch-light in the eyes could be cool, but it might also remove the drama of the dark eyes, which seem instrumental to the expression. In short, not a bad job at all! Link to comment
manncer 0 Posted November 9, 2001 I really like it, except for the logo, a plain shirt would have been better, or maybe a leather jacket. It's different than most. Link to comment
