home page1 0 Posted August 4, 2005 Just for accuracy's sake, and not that it matters that much, this subject is a lorikeet, not a parrott. Parotts are much larger and not nearly as agile as the much smaller lorikett bird. Loriketts are pretty amazing. They are super human friendly and will land on your head or shoulder with complete trust of the human. They are native to the South Pacific and are a recent acquistion of the Louisville Zoo. Thanks to everyone for your comments and ratings on this really neat bird. Link to comment

corkman 0 Posted March 6, 2007 I gave this a 7/7 because the photo itself deserves that and more. But also because you've been so generous with details that are so helpful and appreciated by novices like me. Thanks Ken. Link to comment
