ravi_mehta 0 Posted November 13, 2001 You captured the light at the perfect moment. I love how the warm light glows on the snow. The shot is well composed. It draws the eye across the peaks. Nicely done. Link to comment
michael gordon httpwww 0 Posted November 13, 2001 Hello Ron:looks great, but a little soft. I suspect it's the scan job or the compression. I prefer your day in the park shot better though :) Link to comment
philmorris 0 Posted November 15, 2001 Great comparison of lit and unlit ranges with "lit" controlling the image. And of course fine colouring and composition. A pity there wasn't a tadge more DOF I feel. Otherwise the picture would be outstanding. Link to comment
ron_karpel 0 Posted November 15, 2001 I am going to kick myself for not making sure I load a good scan onto photo.net. The original slide is quite sharp. I have fixed this now and I hope this scan is better. Link to comment
kkwan 0 Posted November 18, 2001 Nice shot, Ron. The light is perfect, giving the mountain good texture. The pastel colours are great both on the mountain and the sky. I especially like the smooth gradation of colours in the background. And the snow really adds to the scene. This one is also excellent technically, very sharp. I do have a couple of suggestions on the composition though. I think lowering your camera angle (don't know if this is possible) so that the peak in the front protrudes the line of mountains in the back would make it stand out more. Also, putting something in the foreground (like a silhouette of a person) can add visual interest and increase the depth. Regardless, I like this shot. Link to comment
daniel_rice 0 Posted December 14, 2001 This image is very, very lovely. Even in such a nice portfolio, it really stands out. Very nice, I wouldn't change a thing. Link to comment
eric_zimmerman1 0 Posted February 8, 2002 I love the image; the scan still looks a little blurred. Perhaps a little work with the unsharp-mask feature would fix this. Link to comment
