Learning to ride

Probably a complete mess technically, but I loved the effect

created by light streaming through slats in the stable roof.

At first it seemed quite ordinary

but after about 3-4 seconds I felt

pulled in, like I was really there

.. Very nice.

i agree with tom. this is a deceptively pleasing photo because it presents as a scene of everyday, ordinary activity, but then . . . the lines, the light, the composition of the horses, the moment captured with the arms holding the foot with the child looking down, it dawns on you that there's a real mastery at work here. well done!
