ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted July 21, 2005 Fabulous color and DOF. A slight rotation to correct the slight tilt in the waterline? Link to comment

whydangle 0 Posted July 21, 2005 Its quite beautiful indeed. The shadow across the mountain adds to the impact, creating additional contrast. The two rocks in the foreground make a great starting point for the eyes to venture further into the image. If I was being judgemental, I would say that the reflection of the shadow in the water is lighter than the actual shadow on the mountain which has a slight un-natural appearance. I don't know if this is a product of two exposures merged in photoshop or if a split-grad was used. I noticed a couple of other photos in your portfolio that had the same affect. This I believe is very minor considering most viewers would not percieve this. I would still rate this 6/6! The color makes the image memorable. THANKS for sharing! Link to comment

drfl 0 Posted July 21, 2005 Everybody, thank you for your comments and critiques. I always enjoy hearing what can be done to improve things. Chris, to answer your question, unfortunately, no, I live in Nebraska. Not quite the same landscape. Link to comment
geo sun 0 Posted July 24, 2005 last year. You did a wonderful job capturing your subject on the right time. I know you try on the composition yet it does not quite work for me. Other than that, a good one. Link to comment
