Protecting the Scopes 2

A heli-tanker drops retardent to help protect the MMT Telescope at

the Smithsonian's Mount Whipple Observatory. This was part of

preparing the telescopes in case the 20,000 acre Florida fire

threatened them. This photo has not been manipulated.

I'm not sure this is the category to show off this photo to the best adventage - its interesting on so many levels! This could be in the "vehicles", "news" - you name it! What can I say that the photo does not already say best - its a lovely capture, its vivid, it tells a story - a compelling one - its dramatic, its wonderful!
