A photoshop filter can be used in many ways to help hightlight and complement an image, but if not used right it takes from the image. Lighting effect is one I like to use here and there but this is a bit harsh. Something about leaving an oval image in a rectangle just doesnt seem right.

Not trying to be mean, only trying to suggest a better option. Please view this one I did to maybe get an idea of how to use this effect a little different.
