colin_thomas2 0 Posted July 18, 2005 This image captures the last 100 yards of a first time attempt at a triathlon for my brother Stephen. He had just finished 16 laps in a pool, 10 km on a bike and this 2 km run was the end of the torture. I noticed this girl sitting on the last bend and wanted to get some kind of juxtaposition going between exhaustion and relaxation. Link to comment
daniel hayduk 0 Posted July 18, 2005 Unless you're making a witty statement about the amount of clothing on the woman - it is spelled bear. :) Spelling is really important!!! /danielhttp://www.sportsshooter.com/danielhayduk Link to comment
seven 0 Posted July 18, 2005 I like the juxtaposition - well composed. Admittedly when seeing this in Rate Recent (without your comment) I saw it more as an unspoken "I can't stand the sight of this guy, I'll pretend not to be aware of his presence" monologue within the female. That interpretation was quite amusing. Were you heavily polarised, or have you stripped some of the warmer colours out post-capture? Link to comment
colin_thomas2 0 Posted July 19, 2005 Thanx for the Engleesh lesson Daniel. The way I see it I just had the 'e' in the wrong posishon. I shood still get a gold star for correctlay spellin 'juxtaposition' & 'exhaustion.' I appreeshy8 yoor comment. Link to comment
colin_thomas2 0 Posted July 19, 2005 Thanks Seven. The title is indeed an intended monologue on the part of the young female. I did in fact take out quite a bit of the colour saturation on this image. Link to comment
