Moon

I used a Celestron 14-inch telescope as the "lens" of my Canon 10D. This instrument has a focal length of 3910mm and f/11. Shutter speed was 1/45, ISO200.

Mike, A really good shot, good contrast, and a great deal of detail. Had any astrophotos published in "Astronomy" or "Sky and Telescope"? By the way, was this a kind of longish exposure, maybe 1/4 sec. or so.....Jim

Great Macro(well almost) of the moon. How did you get to see so-many craters. Thought this was upside-down until I checked your location. I took a similar photo from my home(UK) a few nights ago. Not as detailed as yours but if you take a look at mine and read the technical details, perhaps you will understand. By the way, what was the rest of your equipment used for this photo and also, how was your camera set.

Hi Mike, I like the picture very much, I would have liked it to be even sharper/clearer too but It is very nice as is, and well it kind of makes my wish I could go there for a vist just to see things up close. Take care.
