Personally I like the background, it's the two light spots on the top and botton that draw my eye away from the bird. I really like this though:) 6/6

Amazing you were able to follow up and great to see its growth. Your capture reminds me of some illustations from a bird book that I have. I like to see the birds habitat and this is a beautiful example.

Renny, even the background is busy, the blue around the bird accentuate her, maybe it needs a bit more light.nice bird. Pnina

Well integrated in its surrounding! Crop at the bottom to eliminate the thick branch and you get a more harmonic, light composition.

I rather liked the background as it made this hummingbird lady (Jim.... :-) appear almost invisible against it... one more leaf, as it were. Well, that is the point and her protection! I had been bothered a bit by the bottom branch and in fact did trim a good bit off. Daily Photograph I will take your comments under advice and work on that part a bit more. And, Dave, I think you are right about the light spots. Phong, Merni, pnina and Bob I definitely appreciate other eyes that help me see! Thank you all for your comments. I really appreciate the input.
