dk. 0 Posted July 13, 2005 Very well done Cherlyn, I saw Spencer's first the other day so I am kind of over the wow factor, but yours looks great too. Very well done. (I like both of yours but the first one a little bit better I think.) DK. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted July 13, 2005 Dear Cherlyn, this is a most unique natural phenomenon and you've captured it in an exellent way. Even the silhouettes of the trees seems to bend for it. I'm in doubt about the one I like the best, cherlyn. They are all phenomenal. It most have been an enormous experience for you and your friends to come face to face with this wonder of nature. I can imagine that this is something you will never forget! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 14, 2005 They're all very nice, BUT... I find the animation itself distracting and annoying. It would have been much better to post the two "alternate" versions separately, even if as follow-up posts to the main one. You asked which version "we" prefered. It's hard to say due to the animation; but I *think* I prefer the half of the animation where the composition is very similar to the main shot, while being significantly bluer overall -- but like I said, it's very difficult to be sure, given that the animation itself gets in the way. Guest Guest Posted July 14, 2005 Now, did you also capture the spaceship itself??!! Best regards. Link to comment

louis_greene 0 Posted July 15, 2005 This is a high altitude cloud (usually ice crystals) that just happens to have the other cloud in the foreground. I am not sure exactly which phenomena it is, but here is a great link for you look it up at: http://www.sundog.clara.co.uk/halo/chaim2.htm Link to comment
