madison01 0 Posted July 11, 2005 This has been taken using my 50mm f1.8 nikon lens. It is a shot of my daughter which seems to show her in sombre mood. Though actually she is in between expressions. You would never believe she was running about grinning like a Cheshire cat before this. I just think there is more to child photography than children grinning all the time. Please critique. madison01 0 Posted July 11, 2005 BTW, this photo really gains something by viewing it in "Larger" mode. Link to comment
kariann 0 Posted July 13, 2005 She's sweet. I like the "softness" of the photo. Her expression is okay-maybe I'd like a little more expression. I like it overall. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted July 14, 2005 Really sweet little girl. I love her expression. I like the softness, but the DOF seems too shallow. I want both eyes sharpely in focus. Lovely hair lights. Link to comment
madison01 0 Posted July 14, 2005 Her hair highlights are from bouncing my SB-800 off the ceiling, using a reflector (pop-up card) for the eye lights. The photo is a bit soft and the DOF comments I agree with. Thanks for the critique - which I take happily. Link to comment
