This is a brilliant photograph. Congratulations. I'm shocked at the low ratings for this picture. It's obvious that most of these "critics" don't even know how to visually read strong work like this. I'm starting to think that Photo Net should be re-named "Insects, Landscapes and Tacky Nudes".

I totally agree. This is a great photograph even if it doesnt look like you put a weeks worth of effort into it.

Thank you for your kind comments. I am still fairly new to photo.net, and although I like it, I am trying not to pay too much attention to the ratings, be they good or bad. And Chris, of course, you are right, some more effort could go into this.

Karsten, this struck me straight away from the top rated pages by its strong and original design and interesting restricted range of colour. (Never mind the ratings - if you persevere and are generous with your own comments you will educate people to your vision and your ratings will rise!)

This is just a great, great shot ! I dont think it matters how many hours there are spend on it - for me its only the picture that matters. And I agree very much with J.B. on his comments on Photo.net
