Guest Guest Posted July 10, 2005 Sooner or later, someone will probably come along and criticize this image for lack of detail in shadow areas, particularly on the dog in the foreground...but it won't be me. I think this image is excellent, and seems to combine the real and the ethereal...I love the light in it. This is a very strong image. Not to mention I'm a sucker for dogs. Good work. Link to comment
snakecharmer 0 Posted July 11, 2005 These are my beautiful pets, Spot and Mr. Fluffy, who were kind enough to sit still for me. The dark foreground-light background thing was intentional and makes me happy, maybe because I am strange. Comments? Link to comment
christensen 0 Posted July 11, 2005 A small flash in the front, to get more from the dogs face, but still a nice and silent morning. Link to comment
mcgarity 0 Posted July 11, 2005 I like the underlying composition. And I must confess that I too am a sucker for dogs. These two look like they would easily capture your affections. But with all of that said, I am the guy Jim warned you about. I hope you don't take offense but the exposure of this image is a problem for me. The contrast between the light and dark areas is just too much. There is no detail on the lower left and massively overexposed on the upper right. I'm sorry but whether its done intentionally or not, I just don't find this kind of look to be esthetically pleasing. Link to comment
