The Blue Hour

This is beautiful, Bente, as good as anything that you have done lately. I love the shadows above all else, but the other parts of the geometric design are important parts of the composition.

thanks to every one commenting and rating this photo. I was a bit surprised but truely pleased that it got so much attention as it did. After all it's one of my older ones just photoshoped and color changed.

 

The place is out to The Atlantic Ocean on the coast of Portugal in a small fishing village named Erichera and the village is worth a visit if you should happen to come that way. It's taking in the late afternoon.

 

Some of you has mentioned that you have looked up the original to compare. Thanks for taking you time to do that.

I myself can't tell which one I prefer.

 

In case anyone ever should come back to this I am putting a BW version here and the original too just so you can compare.

One of you stated that it is photoshopped .. yes.. I never stated it was not ... color correction, USM, vignet, highpass, cropped a bit.

Bente, this is one of my many favorites . . . the original was good but this is spectacular. . . the movement of the railing paralleled by the benches and accented by the lamp posts and their shadows. . and the blue tint pulls it all together . . great work. . .
