timreaves 0 Posted July 7, 2005 Thanks guys.....you know, everything happened soooo fast. I heard a sound, turned around and saw him standing there. He noticed me right away and immediately took off. Wished I had used burrst mode though!! Link to comment
czareks 0 Posted July 7, 2005 You captured the very moment and probably at the best shutter speed possible, as the bird is sharp enough, though its wings seem dynamic due to slight blur. Congratulations! Was it one of a series? Link to comment
timreaves 0 Posted July 7, 2005 Thanks Cezary, I had to act fast and this was the the only shot I was able to get. I got lucky! Link to comment

crabseye 0 Posted October 3, 2006 The Blue Heron is not actually blue, but grayish. So what bird is this? Photo details says the photo has not been altered .... Link to comment
timreaves 0 Posted October 14, 2006 Don't know what to tell you, I shot it as I saw it. I do not know enough about photoshop to do anything fancy........so sorry for your confusion and I resent your implications! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 1, 2007 I think it's just the way the light's hitting him that makes his color so deep. Beautiful image! Took my breath away! Link to comment
timreaves 0 Posted February 2, 2007 Thank you Kim.......I was fortunate to get this one. They are so easily spooked. I haven't been able to even come close to capturing another photo of one. Link to comment
