j.b._junson 0 Posted July 5, 2005 This photograph has strong emotional impact and shows you really understand what the "street photography" genre is all about. My only criticism is the title. "The End of Certainty" would be a great title for a novel, but I think a strong photograph like this works better without a fancy name. Let people bring their own interpretations and emotions to it. Believe me, this picture is strong enough to stand on its own! Link to comment
cityshapes 0 Posted July 5, 2005 thanks for the nice words... you're right about the title. I can't name stuff like this. Link to comment
j.b._junson 0 Posted July 5, 2005 I just saw your architectural shots. Absolutely stunning compositions. I'm very impressed by people who can do strong work in a number of categories! Forget titles, you don't need them :) Getting back to this photo, it has the flavour of Tina Modotti's work from the 1920s. Link to comment
cityshapes 0 Posted July 5, 2005 thanks - I'm looking at this on a different computer and the hue is completely different. On my laptop, it appeared to be sepia (brownish) but on this screen it looks greenish. I didn't know that could happen. Later, I'm going to try re-posting. Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted December 25, 2005 This image has indeed a great impact on this viewer. After looking at this for only a short period of time, my imagination led me to the inclusion of a young child at the LH side. Life is a journey... Link to comment
