I like it. It could just be my monitor, but it looks a little "hot" in places. I like the way you got the light reflection in a circle around her pupil. Oh, yae. She kinda looks like Liv Tylor. Nice Shot.

I believe that the high exposure on the face is on purpose. This provides a really great contrast between the face and the background. Nice shot.

Nice portrait! The sparkles in her eye are great. I think this picture needs more dimension though.

Her other eye looks dead and makes the pic all 2D.

Well placed ring flash. The contrast of pale skin and dark material looks pretty good without being forced.

somehow it reminds me of "Between Darkness and Wonder" maybe due to the similar look. but this one has a totally different feeling. contrastness is great. the ring flash is nicely placed; i dont like it that much though.

I?m impressioned! This is picture of the year! Sensibility, contrast, composition, expression, light everything is perfect! Wonderfull shot teacher!

The circle of lights reflecting in her eyes is distracting. I looks unreal. Maybe this was the effect you were going for. In portraiture, this form of lighting style is not atypical. Why not just use one light to produce the same effect thereby producing one catchlight in the eyes. She looks like she is staring down a runway. Pose and composition is good, but the multi-lights in the eyes not so.

Is it a critique to say I love this photo?

@ Stephen, it's a matter of preference of course, but I find that the ring of lights accentuates the composition. The imagery, of pale white skin against a sea of black evokes the supernatural.

 

It's not just that we're looking at a black and white photo of a pretty girl, but a capture of a ghost, or angel or some such, and there, the 'light of her eyes' increases the effect.

 

IMHO Ahn, perfectly executed, I just wish you took requests...
