What an awesome picture?? How did you do that that you even can see the insect his eyes??? That is just awesome!! Great job!

Thanks Nancy! Like I said, he was pretty brave. I ended up getting real close, like an inch or two away. Every once in a while you find a bug that'll let you do that. Most won't let you get even a few feet away. I had to be careful not to let my neck strap sway against his wings!

What kind of lens did you use to get so close up??? Yes, this is indeed a very brave insect...LOL Maybe the start of a modeling career??? LOL

It's a Canon PowerShot G3 with a $10 generic closeup lens (+10 diopter rating, from eBay) screwed on the end. It has served me well, although Raynox makes a much higher quality +10 lens for about $50. For most of the pictures I have the cheap lens has done an adequate job :)

No matter what, you did an awesome job!! I'm just amazed!
