Very nice shot, but the flash makes it look like it's a shot of a moth. You don't specify the exposure ... I wonder if it was possible to make it longer and get a more even light on the subject and the background. If you can work your flash off the camera body, moving it back away from the subject will also even out the differences in light levels (at the cost of harsher shadows, though). Shots like these rarely permit time for careful setup, though. Nice shot!
