I took this one back in the film era. This overlook faces Pike's

Peak when it isn't obscured by ground level clouds.

 

The sun poked through between the clouds and mountains on the west

horizon for about ten minutes. The double rainbows terminated about

100 feet in front of me. I got about three good frames before I got

too much rain on the lens to shoot anything worth keeping.

 

This is very close to the print image- yes; it really was that

extreme lighting. The Epson 3170 does not handle that Fuji fourth

color layer well, so I corrected as best I could and reduced grain

with Picture Window Pro.

 

I hope you enjoy this shot as much as I enjoyed taking it. Comments

Great capture of a unique moment in time. Shadows/highlights in Photoshop would bring out more detail in the tree. I might also crop about a half-inch off the top. 5/5
