johannes_felten 0 Posted June 29, 2005 One of the gravest dangers in wreck diving is getting caught up in something that will entrap you. While you try to free yourself your air supply drops rapidly. A situation like that can very quickly escalate into panic which, in itself, causes you to breathe even harder and eliminates any rational thinking. A vicious cycle begins that often ends in death. The noose of the rope floating freely and the diver looking up seemed to me to symbolize the lure and beckoning of the deep, waiting for someone to descend and be entrapped by it. Link to comment
JRX94 0 Posted June 29, 2005 the theme is not common, i like colour, light and composition, the only thing that annoys me a little is that one man is cut-off. I think it would have been better with the 2 men just a little bit on the left. Link to comment
johannes_felten 0 Posted June 29, 2005 There is only one man, but yes, it would have been much better if there was some space to the right of the diver instead of him almost falling out of the frame. I did recompose a moment later, but then the diver had already moved his head and there was no longer the reflection on the diver's mask and he wasn't looking up. I tried to communicate my meaning to the diver, but to no avail. In the end I preferred this frame. Link to comment
JRX94 0 Posted June 29, 2005 oh, yes, sorry about that ! It's the cam (i suppose it's one) he holds that confused me. I need spectacles ! Nothing like a critique who can't see ! A very interesting picture anyway. Link to comment

sergey_parinov 0 Posted June 30, 2005 Jay, For a man who can't see you have quite an imagination. It really looks like there are two men at the picture. Johannes. I use Nikonos V miself, I fully understand how hard it is to use that viewfinder. I like your WA pictures, they are very original. Link to comment
